FOR TODAY
Outside my window...it’s raining…what’s up with Mondays lately and the rainy weather ;]
I am thinking...about what I want to do around the house this week.
I am thankful for...my husband and our new life here at the “Love Shack”.
From the learning rooms...I discovering the joy of embroidery once again with Teresa McFadden’s newest ezine: Freestyle Embroidery.
From the kitchen...I’m going to make some banana/pumpkin muffins.
I am wearing...my new soft, black, t-shirt gown with beautiful lace accents…ohh la la
I am creating...a collage of “Freestyle Embroidery”
I am going...to go grocery shopping and get another pork roast to make another delicious (and so darn easy) “Taco Pulled Pork” dish...thanks "tyggerey".
I am reading... just started, "The Courtesan" by Diane Haeger and just finished, "A Rose for the Crown" by Anne Easter Smith.
I am hoping...to write a review today for my participation in the “Royal Reviews: Historical Reading Challenge" that I’m participating in.
I am hearing...”Soundscapes” on cable TV.
Around the house...it’s dark and gloomy with the rain...which makes me sleepy ;}
One of my favorite things...is hot tea on a day like today…already on my second pot of “Blueberry Breeze and Red Rose”.
A few plans for the rest of the week: to clean out the storage shed and organize our tools and work bench for all our household projects.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
This a photo I snapped last friday night (at 10:30pm) of the "Taco Pulled Pork" that I blogged about...it was soooo good...and here it is Monday and it's all gone...lol First we pulled it apart with forks and our fingers...and munched on it hot from the oven on Friday night. Then on Saturday, we ate it with coleslaw, rolled up inside of spinach wraps...drippy and yummy. And finally, on Sunday (and today for lunch), we ate it with rice, barbecue beans and coleslaw...mixed the beans, rice and pork all together on our plates...was so darn good and SIMPLE...my favorite kind of food...go make you some...enjoy!
