Two Little Love Birds Sittin' in a Tree...K I S S I N G... (con-tain-it)

First comes love...Then comes marriage...

Found these cute little red ceramic birds at Michael's on sale today and just had to have them for my patio. Especially since DH and I put together our patio cover/gazebo this weekend and we are still talking to each other {let alone kissing ;}

Sure do have a bone to pick with the lady at Lowe's who said that we'd have "no trouble putting this baby together"...yeah right! She failed to mention that we would need a ladder of some sort. Here at the Love Shack all's we have now...since getting rid of all that extraneous stuff...is a step stool!

Wish we could have had someone video taping us (in silent mode ;) as we figured out a way to rig up the center supports with one step stool and four bungie cords. No to mention that I was such a nervous ninny about one of the posts popping off the bungie cords and smashing through our bedroom windows! I had my Mom laughin' so hard she was in tears as I discribed the crime scene.

So far it's up and all's we have left to do is attach the canvas awning (and level it out once that is complete ;) but we have to actually rent a ladder to reach the top to finish that part...lol

Originally we had planned on placing it over the actual concrete patio slab...but when we tried...our shed door would not open...it was hitting the cross beam. Imagine us sliding over the structure...not! I made DH place the post over next to the door area before we tried to attach the top beams...darn good thing ;)

Things happen for a reason...and we actually prefer it where it is and this way my hammock will be in the shade...yeah! Then we're going to purchase a small umbrella for the table for when we are eating outside. This has actually extended our yard and by moving the the table and chairs over we now have a clear path to the grill. Later I'll do a detailed, reveal post when everything is complete. In the meantime, I'm a swingin' in my hammock!

Can anyone else relate to completing projects with their spouses and still remaining Love Birds? Do share ;)

Yes!!! Me and my hubby "MOVE" all the time together and still remain "Love birds"...LMAO

Don and I are in the process of adding on to our deck so he and our oldest son can close in the original deck to make a family room.....that was a long sentence..lol....anywho..I'm what he calls better than "no one". Fun times.
