This week, I'm giving you all a Sneak Peek into another one of my hotel studios as we find ourselves on the road once again. I'm lovin' it...that I was able to continue working on my project a Week in the Life...no matter where we may find ourselves this crazy summer.
This week we found ourselves at the Embassy Suites in Concord, NC and as soon as I had un-packed our regular suitcases...I'm was moving around the furniture to set up my in-suite Studio...
Wow...trying to get my head around the fact that the first week in August has just flown by! This week I've been very busy {like when am I not?}...hence why time just zips right on by! But I'm Lovin' It...in the studio with the two different projects I'm currently creating.
Last week while I was consciously taking photos and documenting daily for my Week in the Life album, I did make the time to edit/crop and place an order for some of the pictures for my Summer Travel Journalfrom our vacation in June/July. So this week when the packet arrived in the mail...I couldn't wait to tear it open! I am always pleasantly surprised...even when I know what the pictures are of since we are in the digital age...I still get a thrill from physically holding onto and viewing real photographs ;) Especially when I see the photo of DH in flip-flops...it's a first for him...look close and you can see the tell-tale sock lines on his ankles...lol
WHAT IS THE GUSSY SEWS INSPIRATION WORKSHOP!? The Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop!is a weekly link-up party hosted by Gussy to create further connections with her on-line community and to encourage inspiration among her peers.
♥ This week’s prompt is a day in my life. This week Gussy encourages you to find inspiration in your day-to-day by posting a single photo, a collage of photos or simply a written list that depicts A DAY IN YOUR LIFE. Share with us, your take on the prompt by linking up your blog post.
Well...this week's prompt...just happens to coincide with the Week in the Life project that I've been participating in via Ali Edward's blog. Sunday was the last day of the week for this series and I have been busy all this week editing/printing my photos and catching up on my notes. Today I want to share with you all some of the photos from Sunday...because...it just so happens to be my favorite day of the week! For us, it's the one day that we usually do not make any plans for leaving the Love Shack. It's usually the one day where I don't make the bed, get dressed or even shower. YIKES...I know...but it's true...nothing like being a total bum all day long and really relaxing ;)
The day starts off with us sleeping in...anything past 8:00am in our case! Then I roll on out of our big, comfy bed and drag my butt out to the kitchen...where I usually find the mess from the night before...wine bottle, wine glasses, popcorn bowls and pans in the sink...
This week we were on the road for a business trip for DH which worked out great for this week's project, Week in the Life 2011, since we seem to have found ourselves on the road quite a bit this year. So here is a re-cap of our final morning in the hotel in Charlotte, NC and heading down our favorite country roads for the trip home to Raleigh, NC.
Since we didn't have to check out of the hotel until noon, we relaxed all morning long and took our time cleaning up and packing our bags...here is a shot of the before...
Today, I'm giving with you all a Sneak Peek with a few photos from my project a Week in the Life. I'm lovin' it...that I'm finding things that are routine and common and how they bring me such comfort...no matter where we may find ourselves. Here are a few of my favorite things:
Waking up next to DH every morning...spooning each other all night ;}
So excited to be participating this week in Ali Edward's current Week in the Life project.
Today is Day 1 and I've taken over 150 photos! Spent the day organizing my album and using the Daily Sheets that Ali has provided for everyone to use to as a handy journaling tool. The basic premise behind using them is to concentrate on taking loads of pictures and loads of notes through-out this week and to not get bogged down with worrying about how you are going to assemble and complete your actual album. SO LOVE THIS!!
The only thing I'm using my album for right now is to collect the little bits of everyday ephemera, that I want to include in my completed album. For the actual album, I've chosen a Memories 81/2 x 11, leather, 3-ring binder album and a variety of their page protectors.
Was so excited to learn that Shimelle from the Explore that I blogged about (and signed up for ;) last week is also participating in Ali's, Week in the Life project and is incorporating the WITL concepts into her Explore class...WONDERBA!
Oh yeah...did I mention that Ali has a ton of giveaway's from her blog sponsor's all this week as well ;?
Now, I'm off to catch up on my daily journaling notes and to purge out the baaaadddd photos. I'm re-discovering that I REALLY need to learn how to use my FUJI camera for all of these candid shots!
Hope you all feel inspired to join in.
Fondly, Roberta
Hello I'm Roberta,
Welcome to the Love Shack.
Inside this small space we are living large!
I hope that you will follow along as I rant and rave about my passion for creating a blessed life with my family...no matter where the road may lead us.

This is how I spent my "Summer Vacation"
In June, I had downloaded Theresa McFaddin's ezine "Summer Art Journal", and I never had the time to participate...SO I took it with on my vacaton and had a wonderful "uninterrupted" creative, inspired time.
It was a perfect Summer Vacation!
Had another wonderful experience this year with Donna Downey at her "Inspired 2009" event. I've come home again with ideas and projects to complete and the motivation to get to work on everything! More pictures to be added of the "completed" projects in the near future.
