Today is the last day of 2011 and the last day to sign up for Stephanie's year long follow along Scrapbook Life Journal 2012 on-line course...where...
We are getting ready to journey, scrapbook, doodle, document and journal our way through Twenty Twelve together, creating a “scrapbook*life*doodle journal” binder based on monthly prompts, doodles, quotes, bible verses, inspiration and our individual lives.
After a week of traveling and celebrating Christmas with our family, I was a little hesitant to take on another project since I'm and still working on my December Daily Album {I promise I will load a slide-show of it real soon ;} But I really liked how simple Stephanie is keeping things and how she is encouraging you to "use what you have" when pulling your album together. Primarily...all those scrapbook papers that WE all seem to collect...and are hesitant to use because it's all so darn pretty and "we don't want to ruin it" or "we're saving it for a really special project!"
The size of the binder was also very attractive to me...6"x9" (holds 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" papers) and I've collected these binders over the years for gathering recipes. Also like the way the covers are easily decorated by simply sliding your cut papers {or artwork ;} into the protective sleeves...so simple!
Recently, I purchased a bunch of My Minds Eye papers, specifically the Lost & Found collections, that I just love with all their vintage, collaged and glittery yumminess...and I decided that I wanted to use them for this album because "I'm worth it" ;}
The office supply stores also sell loose-leaf, 3-hole punched, notebook papers for these size binders and I purchased a package along with a package of page protectors which we are using as the monthly "tabs" or dividers for this album. I've already started using the notebook paper for writing down some numerology notes for twenty-twelve...because I love incorporating numbers and colors in my personal journals.
So excited to participate and looking forward to meeting and connecting with all the other lovely ladies through-out twenty-twelve as we encourage and support each other in our quest to be creative, keep a personal journal and to tell our stories.
How about you...what projects do you have lined up for twenty-twelve?
You still have time to join in the fun! Please leave a comment and let me know if you do.
Fondly, Roberta
