This week I was able to finish my assignment for Canvas Create for February which means that I have a 12"x12" page to incorporate into my {Week 8} of Project Life 2012. Which means that I only have one regular, sectioned page protector to hold my photos for the week. Which, worked out okay since I realized that when I went to pull my pages together that I really did not take a lot of photos this week. That was because I was busy working on my art projects and catching up on two-weeks of Project Life! So I'm sharing it all with you here on my blog and with all the other Project Lifers as I link up my post with Project Life Tuesday hosted by Jessica of The Mom Creative.
First up on the right-hand side is my Canvas Create project that I've placed inside of a 12"x12" page protector. The assignment incorporated a heart for the month of February and loads of texture...you can read all about the details here in this blog post.
February 4th is when the Chinese celebrate their New Year and 2012 is the Year of the Dragon so I went on-line to figure out my Chinese Forecast and then I printed out all of the reports. I was able to use the really pertinant information in my artwork and then I placed the rest of it behind the artwork in the 12"x12" protector where I can retrieve it anytime I want to refresh my memory.
All of my photos and journaling for the week are placed on the left-hand side page protector which has one large section that is 6"x8" and four 4"x6" horizontal sections.
Since I only had the four 4"x6" horizontal spaces...I used a lot of photo mosaics to gather what photos I did take for the week. The top one showcases the crazy weather...again this week...snow one minute and in the seventies the next! Below that is a mosaic of all the movies that we watched...we watch movies all the time...but these are ones that we really enjoyed and want to own someday real soon! It's going to be so hard to wait for the next season of Downton Abbey...
For the larger 6"x8" section I placed some more of my artwork from Doodles Unleashed along with a photo of hubby sitting in his recliner enjoying our Downton Abbey marathon and the label from the bottle of wine that we enjoyed. I really love that it has copper accents and coordinates with my Canvas Create artwork...it's the little things like this that make me happy ;}
For the last photo mosaic, I gathered photos of the Fashion File that I'm creating. For the past couple of months I have been pinning outfits that I like onto my Pinterest boards. Then I found this little 3"x5" card file in Office Max...I knew what I wanted to do with it! Since I don't want to pull out my laptop every time I walk into my closet for inspiration...I decided to print out some of my favorite ones and keep them hand in this little card file. I know...I'm such a geek...but years ago I use to cut and paste outfits onto poster boards and hang them on the closet doors for inspiration...so I really haven't changed much ;}
The page is finished with a "week-at-a-glance" card that summaries our weekly activities. This card that I have been creating in Publisher every week, along with a few dynamo labels completes my journaling. Keeping it all real here...which means short and sweet and oh so simple! For me...that is what makes Project Life do-able on a daily/weekly basis! Especially since I haven't started using the Project Life "Design A" page protectors and the "core kit" that I bought into since they are so darn popular.
Someday soon...I promise ;} In the meantime..."keep calm and carry on".
Fondly, Roberta
love it all! love that you include your art and love the 'fashion files' idea. love the inclusion of the wine label too - people viewing it in future will really get an idea of who you are ;)

My personal favorite from thee page is THE HELP. That movie was great and one of the only movies I've wanted to own in the last few years.
