The weather has been a BIG part of LIFE these past few weeks because it has been so un-seasonably wild and warm for Winter...even for North Carolina. During {Week 5} of Project Life 2012 it was like spring...or even summer for some parts of the world...with temperatures in the high 70's mid-week. Talk about hearing one hit wonders...Skyrockets in Flight...afternoon delight! {now you are going to be hearing this song in your head...playing over and over again ;} So without further irritation...today I'm sharing my completed, two-page spread with you here on my blog and then I am linking my post up with Project Life Tuesday hosted by Jessica of The Mom Creative.
For the left-side facing I used the back side of {Week 4}'s "title-page" strip which hold two 4"x6" vertical and three 4"x6" horizontal photos.
Then for the right-side facing page I tried a new type of page protector that I found last week at the Archiver's store...it's almost like a "Design A" type page in that it has four 4"x6" horizontal photos on the top and bottom of the page and then three 4"-square photos across the middle of the page (in lieu of the four 2"x4" journal card size slots as in the Design A type page).
For the title strip are on the left-side page, I simple adhered some ephemera that I had been gathering from the week to the pink, back side of the scrapbooking paper that I had used for this area in {Week 4}.
The top part of this strip holds the "Month of Letters" stamps (ephemera) that I've been using for mailing out my daily letters and cards as a participant in this challenge. This was the perfect placement since it sits right next the the photo of my desk showcasing the folder that I have set up to hold stationery and inspiration for this challenge.
Below the "stamps" area I've placed the wine label from the bottle that DH and I enjoyed on Saturday evening once we returned from our long day-trip to Charlotte. This label is plastic so it's clear in most areas and worked really well just sitting on top of the scrapbook paper. Then it's a little larger than the 2-inch are of the page protector so I decided to just go with it and let it stick out and stick out over onto the rest of the protector and the photos inside of it. Ten I adhered it down with some decorative tape and the "fine wine" dynamo label...I really like it because it's not so cookie-cutter ;}
Still enjoying using Publisher to create my "week in-a-glance" journaling cards...my dynamo labels for simple, one-word documentation...Picasa creating photo-collages and for adding journaling right on-top of my photos.
On the one handwhen I'm completing my Project Life pages...I like being rebellious and creative and drawing outside of the lines...as they say ;} But then again on the other hand...I also like the simplicity of the "boxes" in the Project Life page protectors. They provide me with a starting point and give me the structure and discipline that I need to just...get her done ;}
How about you...are you a rebel or a good girl?
It's great when you come to realize that it's just fine and dandy when you are both ;}
Fondly, Roberta
Love the variety of the pahe protectors you're using. That one with the title strip is fab - what is that one? It makes your pages look so different. And yes, I'm a living dichotomy too - I like to to rebel and be a good girl.

Looks great Roberta! Love your picture of the mail & the saying that went along with it.
Hope you had a great week!

Some weeks, I just print the pictures and am happy I have the 5 minutes to shove them into pages. Other weeks, I spend a few hours creating! :) Time rules all ;)
