This week in the studioI kept my head down and got all caught up on my Project Life Album...woo hoo! I may be a few days late for Project Life Tuesday...but my motto has always been..."better late than never" and "better done than perfect!
First up is a photo of the two-page spread for {Week 6}:
For the center section I used another one of Cathy Z'sPhrase Card templates which I printed out as a photo. Then I journaled with white pen on top of the photo and then added a Hambly Studios screen print sheet for another layer.
For the right facing side of {Week 6} I used the same type of page protector and again used one of Cathy Z's Phrase Card templates in the center of the page...only this time I left it plain and simple.
Next to the card template, I've adhered the wine label from the bottle that we enoyed on our Saturday Date Night onto some of my own artwork papers from the Doodles Unleashed classes...really like how they worked well with the colors in the photos ;}
I was able to use more of these papers for {Week 7}.
Specifically on the right side page where I incorporated a page protector that would hold our Valentines cards and memorabilia.
I simply cut a piece of my decorative papers to fit into the 6"x8" slot and then just simple slipped all of our cards and envelopes into this area without adhering them down. It was almost as if I had painted the papers from this Valentine card that I gave my husband with the way the colors and design match...love it when things work out like this ;}
For the left hand side of {Week 7} I let the pictures do the talking again by either making photo mosaics with journaling right on top...or just by adding my favorite black dynamo labels.
Still taking a lot of photos every week and it really makes me realize just how much we do everyday and take for granted...like cooking and sending care packages!
So happy to finally be caught up...it was really weighing me down! Mentally that is...because it was always in the back of my mind...heavy man...heavy!
Now I can relax and enjoy my weekend off...hope you all can do the same.
Fondly, Roberta
These pages look great Roberta! I love how your 'doodle class' pieces look in the book. They make a beautiful background! It is so neat that you will have this to look back on. Makes me want to make time for something like this. Love it! :)
