to give the world the sweetest touch
of tenderness and love.
With the softness of a whisper,
God made a baby's skin
and then designed two trusting eyes
to put the starlight in.
With giggles from a waterfall
and breezes passing by,
God made a baby's laughter
and a tiny, sleepy sigh.
All wrapped up in a rainbow
of wonder, hope, and joy.
Sebastian Albert Carter Philbrick, my first grand-baby was born on Friday, March 16th and yesterday was the first time that I was able to see and hold him at just over 10-days old. Hubby had a meeting in Charlotte for work so I went along so that I could see and hold him before he was no longer a newborn. My oh my...they grow so darn fast...and I swear they change right before your eyes. I think I will have my grand-babies call me grand-me-mère or "Meme" for short, as we use to call my father's mother, who was French Canadian.
Many more photos to come in the near future as I spoil my new Grandson ;}
Fondly, Roberta
I thought they would call you Nana... :(

LOL - just like when Mitchell was a baby and named "bumpa" I think each child creates their own moniker for a grandparent. Beautiful photo array and poem, the subject was of course perfect! :)
