The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.

Last weekend my husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Charleston, South Carolina. As we walked around the historic district, we headed towards the battery to escape the very humid heat...we were desperately seeking the breezes that come off the waterfront.
We spent the entire morning hanging around the waterfront parks, watching the kids playing in the fountains and admiring the boats as they passed in front of us. I took advantage of our time to play with my new camera and was getting familiar with all it's settings. The fresh air and just sitting outside being in the moment, is something that my husband and I always cherish.
As we walked along the sea-wall, I just had to get a photo of these beautiful flowers. I found it amazing that these delicate flowers could bloom there, on such stiff, prickly bushes, with all the harsh winds and hardy conditions found at the battery. Simply beautiful!
Nice picture Bobbi....As I was reading the quote I thought the picture had been included with it. What a pleasant surprise to learn you took it.
