This weekend we went to Davidson, NC for our monthly hair appointments at Halo Salon and to deliver simple gifts of cookies and muffins to our stylist and great friend, James.
Yes we travel (3 hours one-way) each month to see James because I simply do not trust anyone else to touch my hair! James has been taking care of me (in other words...he keeps me looking younger ;) since I first discovered him in a tiny shop off Main Street, when I worked there over 8 years ago.
The salon was all decked out for the holidays and, since I am keeping things simple and stress-free this year, I'm not putting up a Christmas tree at the Love Shack...so instead I'm really enjoying everyone else's efforts!
Every year Bruce, the owner of Halo Salon, puts up this gorgeous tree and I look forward to seeing it up right after Thanksgiving. It is so darn tall that I could barely get the entire tree into my shot...so I took some close-ups of my favorite things on the tree to share...
...glowing spheres, fuzzy orange orbs, garlands of green disks, glittery ferns,
...feathers, sparkling sheer butterflies, green organza birds and more! It's organic and funky and different and that's what I love about it!
So I made up a photo mosaic to share with you all and with Mary of, Little Red House blogspot, for her weekly Mosaic Monday blog party.

Also linking up for the last party in the Holiday Home series hosted by Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick...Christmas Tree Party.
Today Mary is also talking about Living Mindfully, especially during the holidays, and I found this wondeful Shaker song that I thought I share with you as I close my post. Hope you all have a wonderful day! Fondly, Roberta
"Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free:
"Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be;
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
"Twill be in the valley of love and delight.
-Simple Gifts (c.1875), Shaker song

A good hairdresser is very hard to find! I don't blame you for driving 3 hours every month!
I can see why you enjoy the decor at the salon - just beautiful.
