Today is Day 10 of The {21} Purge and Rhonna's message today is to remember that: "Sticking with things for 21 days is difficult. I know that. But, guess what? Life's passing by. 21 days are passing by. And if we say, 'I'll do it when...'or...'After XYZ happens, I'll do it'...or...'I'll wait until then next round of The 21 Challenge.' You can do this, 21ers! WE can do this! No waiting. Let's do it NOW!"
Purging everything under my bed has required that I remind myself of this REPEATEDLY!!! Ahhhh...what did I get myself into...so many times I've been tempted to just put it all right back under my bed!! THAT is why I've out-ted myself here on my blog and decided to post about this challenge so that I'd be FORCED to finish what I've started...amazing how accountable you can be when someone is watching you...lol
So down from the attic came some more of my fabric bins with labels that I talked about yesterday, Day 9 of The {21} Purge...
So that I could sort out my short-sleeved t-shirts and shell tops (shell tops are like fancy t-shirts that are made out of nice fabrics so you can wear them alone or layered with summer sweaters.
So I tried them all on to see which ones still fit and which ones had to go because they were worn out, stained and/or just didn't suit me anymore. Then I placed them in their own labeled bin. Next up, were the short-sleeved T-shirts...
This T-shirt has sentimental value and I can't part with it...my sister, Debbie made these up years ago for all of us girls for Christmas one year. The photo is a passport photo taken of us when were little in Africa...Bonnie was about 6, Debbie was 2 1/2 and I was about 18 months. So off to the laundry it went with some bleach and it looks like new again. So...I put it away with my pj's where I know I will wear it ;)
What was left were my long-sleeved t-shirts and tank tops which I still wear in the colder months, layered underneath my cardigan sweaters and long-sleeved shirts. So I placed them inside this blue crate with wheels for quick access when I'm getting dressed and placed it right next to my green crate with my messenger bags on the right side of my bed next to the closet.
Then the two labeled bins went up into the attic until the weather warms up this spring and I rotate out the long-sleeved with the short-sleeved tops.
Yep...that's my PLAN and I'm stickin' with it ;)
So it's time for true confessions...what have you started and wish that you hadn't?
It's hard I know...but I'm not going to give in to it! I'm taking it ONE DAY AT A TIME...ONE CRATE AT A TIME...and next it will be ONE SWEATER AT A TIME. Now I'm down to SEVERAL crates and BINS of sweaters to PURGE...stay tuned because I'm stickin' with it!

I remember those T-shirts mom made you guys...I love that photo. Good job sicking with it, imagine how good you'll feel when it's all done!

Looks like you're getting there. I usually don't regret anything I start- life's too short but I do wish I could keep up with the healthier lifestyle plan without continually slipping back into old habits. Don and I are about 50 lbs overweight and I had lost 40 of them and then learned I had the bladder cancer. I guess I said forget it while I concentrated on all I had to do for that. Gained back 30 plus pounds and just can't get motivated. Maybe I need to apply the 21 day purge to those bad habits. Take care sweetie.

Well done! You keep going, you are doing great! I hear you on the "wish I had never started this"!! I have thought that so many times! But I am the type of person that when I do start a project, I keep going until it is complete!
