Happy Pink Saturday!
Hope everyone is enjoying themselves today visiting everyone's Pink...
Big Thank You! once again to Beverly of, How Sweet The Sound, for all her hard work every week to put this blog party together.
Please be sure so show your support by checking out Beverly's big announcement today for an upcoming Pink Saturday event that will be life changing for someone in need.
That is what is so fabulous about all the Pink Saturdays...that we can reach out to so many people and make some great things happen for everyone all over the world!
Today for my Pink Saturday post I am going to take this opportunity to tell you about another wonderful organization:
Samaritan’s Feet is a non-profit organization dedicated to changing lives through Shoes of Hope distributions around the world. 300 million people wake up each morning without a pair of shoes to protect their feet from injury and disease.
Samaritan’s Feet South Africa is working to make a difference in the lives of kids and adults in need of shoes throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
At their Shoes of Hope Distributions, they partner with local organizations, churches and schools to achieve three specific goals to:

So of course I wanted to get something in Pink for my donation and I was really excited to find these pretty, yet practical Ked sneakersin the sizes that they are needing. Kristen had included some great deals in her blog post for shopping on-line and many of them had free shipping! So I ordered four pairs in Pink and Green from JC Penney and had them shipped free right to Kristen's address. I know that these are not going to the same place as the Little Dresses for Africa were, but the colors just reminded me of the dresses that I made and I hope these shoes also make some young girls smile ;)
Speaking of Little Dresses for Africa, Kristen has an updateon just how successful this DIFO project was...
The grand total………………………………………………………………………
THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY- TWO (362)
Just amazing...and I hope that this new DIFO Shoes of Hope project is just as successful! I'll be sure to keep you all updated and if you join in, please be sure to let me know.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
