Wow...it's the end of Summer and I finally finished the Write Place Write Time E-Zine that was designed by Teresa McFadden last June. Last year I dubbed this my "Summer Art Journal" because I wasn't able to start my journal until we went on our vacation to Daytona Beach and Savannah Georgia. Then...I had to put it away and did not get back to it again until this summer...oh my! But anyone who knows me...knows that when I start something...I have to finish it.
So this past week we finally had a five day summer break...aka vacation...by going away to Charleston, SC and staying at one of our most favorite places...the Inn at Middleton Place...just heaven to us. We started yearning to go back there after Tim and Ashley stopped off there for when they were on their honeymoon. We had two great days to enjoy the grounds and the weather and on the third day it was raining and overcast...but that was okay...because all the rest of the summer traffic was leaving the resort and DH and I had the entire place to ourselves...it just doesn't get any better than that!
Because we had the lodge all to ourselves, I took advantage and placed several tables together so that I could spread out and work all day and night...talk about feeling spoiled...felt like a queen!
If you take a peek here you can see that I actually got to start the next journal e-zine, A Journal of Interest, that Teresa is offering...this was such a bonus for me! I hope that it will not take me a year to finish this one...but I'm not making any promises...lol
For now I'm happy with my progress and it took me all afternoon to update my album for "My Summer Journal" here on my blog...you can follow the link or find the album on the right hand sidebar. So I hope you all take a look at the finished photos and find some inspiration to download your own e-zine and work on your art journals. Fondly, Roberta
