Wow...trying to get my head around the fact that the first week in August has just flown by! This week I've been very busy {like when am I not?}...hence why time just zips right on by! But I'm Lovin' It...in the studio with the two different projects I'm currently creating.
Last week while I was consciously taking photos and documenting daily for my Week in the Life album, I did make the time to edit/crop and place an order for some of the pictures for my Summer Travel Journal from our vacation in June/July. So this week when the packet arrived in the mail...I couldn't wait to tear it open! I am always pleasantly surprised...even when I know what the pictures are of since we are in the digital age...I still get a thrill from physically holding onto and viewing real photographs ;) Especially when I see the photo of DH in flip-flops...it's a first for him...look close and you can see the tell-tale sock lines on his ankles...lol

This week I have been SO MUCH more productive and I'm Lovin' It working on my Summer Travel Journal and my Summer Art Journal in my studio. I have continued to draw inspiration from Teresa McFayden's eworkshop, Paint Paper Paste and from Ali Edwards, Scrap Book on the Road.

I couldn't read, or blog...let alone be creative...because it just made my headache worse. So I've been resting a lot and trying to heal. However, in the beginning of the week I was so inspired by Teresa McFayden't latest eworkshop, Paint Paper Paste, after downloading it that I couldn't wait to start playing in my studio. I got started by combining some of the Paint Paper Paste techniques with another eworkshop that I had downloaded from Ali Edwards, Scrap Book on the Road. This summer we plan on taking a couple of road trips and I just love how Ali's class helps you create a Travel Journal in advance so that you can take it with you to document your trip and to remind you to record all those important details and memories before you forget them once you get back home and unpack your suitcases...something we can all relate to I think ;) So far...I'm Lovin' It...and so here is a sneak peak at my Summer Travel Journal.

First things first...I went through all of my STASH and gathered together the main ingredients...an album, some rub-ons and some paper bags that I had recently found on sale and loved the idea of inserting them into my album to hold all those bits and pieces that you tend to collect while traveling.
