Wow...where on earth did November go? I know...it has gone with the wind...caught up in the tail wind of my downsizing and blogging all about The {31} Purge ;} Followed by a week of traveling and spending time with family for Thanksgiving. So now it is December 1st...and I'm suddenly realizing that...I have little to none...motivation for Christmas...but I'm trying Denyse ;}
Now that it's all over...I'm just spent in the energy department :[ Let alone the fact that my Christmas decorations are stuffed way in the back of my new, downsized storage unit. There is no way that I'm going to kill myself digging anything out this holiday season. SEE all those blue plastic bins stacked way in the back...kapeesh!
This land is your land, this land is my land From California, to the New York Island From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters This land was made for you and me
Looking out my front door today on November 11th, 2011 at precisly 11:11 am and this is what I am so fortunate to see ;}
Fall has finally sprung it's colors here in Raleigh, North Carolina and we are ever so thankful to all the Veteran's who have provided us with this blessed life with all their sacrifices and continued service in the Armed Services.
May you all have a wonderful weekend remembering all those who have served.
What a wonderful way to end our summer vacation...spending time with family for the weekend...celebrating July 4th in the Carolinas! My niece Cortney, and her husband Carl came home for the weekend and surprised just about all of the family. Carl's brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Lennie helped out by hosting a family barbecue at their home and we had a full day of good food and great fun just being together. Here is a quick slide-show that I put together highlighting the days events.
Later on, Les (Carl's dad) emailed me some of the great shots that he had taken...that I just had to share...especially this one of me playing with my new toy :}
It was an early birthday present to me from DH...and I just love this thing!
Welcome to the Love Shack.
Inside this small space we are living large!
I hope that you will follow along as I rant and rave about my passion for creating a blessed life with my family...no matter where the road may lead us.
Fondly, Roberta
Mini "TRAVEL" Chipboard Album. Great way to showcase our love of weekends in Charleston, SC. Took this "BoBunny" class at The Scrapshack in Mooresville, NC and I'm so glad I did because I never would have tried one of these "chipboard" alpha albums without the great instructions. The kits come with everything (and more) that you need to complete this album in an evening. I've since purchased the "BEACH" and "BELIEVE" kits...can't wait to get to work on them next.
Love these "Rusty Pickle" mini albums! The black pages are masculine and were great with "bohemian" papers for a dramatic gift for my nephews high school graduation.
While at the Pink House in Charleston this past summer, I was having so much fun with Donna Downey in her classes that I asked to join her "Celebrate Life" workshop. Even though I had previously taken this class I was feeling the mojo and wanted to keep it going. So in lieu of doing a heart shape for the handpainted page, I decided on the "sun" and got my colors and inspiration from there.
